Adult Education Offerings
There are various adult offerings available at Westwood during the Sunday School hour.
Come and discuss God’s Word and how His Word applies to us today. The lessons will
be encouraging us toward more faithful living by focusing closely on the nature of God who walks ahead, beside and behind us.
Letters to the Church by Francis Chan Come and join us for this great interactive class which will Highlighting members of the San Francisco-based We Are Church as they reveal their experiences of striving to live out the values of the church as revealed in God’s word. In this nine-week study, we will view a 5-9 minute video, followed by class discussion on such values and attributes of the body of Christ as:
† Respecting the Sacred † Supernatural love and unity
† Spiritual gifts for service † Discipleship and community

God – God the creator, In God’s image, and Objects of Worship
Adult Bible Studies – 1st quarter studies theme is “God”. The Biblical texts and lessons for this quarter were chosen and designed to help us better understand and know who God is, what it means that we are all created in God’s image and embrace our identity, and how a genuine relationship with and understanding of God rightly leads us to worship God alone.

Life Changing Prayer: Approaching the Throne of Grace
Please join us in this six-session video Bible Study led by Pastor Jim Cymbala as he explores how God promises in his Word that we can approach him at any time and be certain he will hear you, answer you, and extend his mercy to you. Prayer can change lives and circumstances like nothing else. The video study features teachings by Jim Cymbala and interviews with ordinary people who received extraordinary answers to their prayers, this study will show how prayer can transform your life.

Youth Class: This year the youth group (6th grade- 12th grade) will be going through the whole Bible starting from Genesis all the way through Revelation! We will read through scriptures and have a small discussion on it as we go along! Afterwards we might play a game here or there too! Come join in the fun at the Epworth house living room!
Children’s Classes: PreK/K class for 3-5/6 year-olds: We are continuing with “God’s Unfolding Story” curriculum for the 2nd year. We will learn about King David, famous prophets, and Queen Esther this fall. We have Bible story, music, playing, handcrafts, snacks and more to help us remember God’s words. This class takes place in Room 8 of the children’s wing.
Elementary class for 1st-5th graders: We are in year two of “Deep Blue Kids” with this year’s theme of “Loving God, Loving Neighbor”. We have a variety of activities – video, storytelling, games, drama, hands-on art and science, snacks – to help us learn about God’s community in the Bible and in our own lives. This class takes place in Rooms 9-10 of the children’s wing.
